Service Protection Plan FAQs
A DOC Service Protection Plan is an annual service plan designed to protect your heating oil or propane system. It combines preventative maintenance with coverage that helps reduce unexpected repair costs and includes emergency service support year-round.
Plans include labor, replacement of most parts depending on the plan selected, an annual heating system tune-up, a TankSure® inspection, and emergency service 24/7, 365 days a year.
Yes. Emergency service coverage is included 24/7, 365 days a year. If you have a no heat situation, calling is the fastest way to get help.
Yes. An annual heating system tune-up is included. Tune-ups help improve efficiency and can reduce the chance of breakdowns during peak winter demand.
TankSure® is an oil tank inspection and ultrasonic testing program designed to check tank condition and detect corrosion risk. Including a TankSure® inspection helps reduce the risk of tank surprises and supports safer system operation.
The boiler plan is for boiler systems and the furnace plan is for furnace systems. Both provide parts and labor coverage when parts become defective due to normal wear and use, but the covered parts list can differ. DOC can help you choose the right plan based on your equipment.
No. The water heater plan is optional and can only be purchased with a boiler plan or furnace plan. It cannot be purchased alone.
The optional plan covers labor and replacement of various parts for direct and indirect water heaters. DOC can confirm whether your specific water heater fits the plan and provide the covered parts list.
Yes. DOC Service Protection Plans are designed to protect heating equipment that runs on heating oil or propane. DOC can confirm the right plan for your specific setup.
Plans include replacement of most parts depending on the plan selected, but coverage varies. The best next step is to request the covered parts list for the plan you are considering so you know exactly what is included.
A plan can help your system run more efficiently because it includes regular maintenance and early problem detection. That often reduces fuel waste and helps avoid performance issues that increase heating costs.
Customers can join a plan any time of the year. If you are heading into winter or you have an older system, enrolling sooner helps you get ahead of breakdown risk.
That is fine. DOC offers annual tune-ups even if you do not enroll in a full service plan. A plan is for customers who want additional protection and fewer surprises.
Start by identifying whether you have a boiler or a furnace. If you are not sure, DOC can help you determine your equipment type and recommend the right plan based on your system and needs.
Contact your local DOC Comfort Center to enroll. DOC can confirm eligibility, review plan details, explain what is covered, and schedule your annual tune-up.
