Controls Designed to Help REDUCE Your Heating and Cooling Costs
DOC sells a variety energy efficient equipment to help you save money.
Consider installing a programmable thermostat to help your heating and cooling bills from rising. By tailoring the heating and air conditioning temperatures to your schedule, programmable thermostats can save both energy and money. You can adjust the times you turn on the heat or AC according to a pre-set schedule. As a result, you don't operate the equipment as much when you are asleep or when the house is not occupied. Programmable thermostats can store and repeat multiple daily settings (six or more temperature settings a day) that you can manually override without affecting the rest of the daily or weekly program.
On average, every degree you raise your thermostat in the summer or lower it in the winter saves two percent on your energy bill. To get the most from your thermostat follow these tips from Energy Star.
Boiler Reset Controls
Boiler reset controls are designed to improve performance in your hot water heating system by regulating the supply water temperature of a single boiler based on the outdoor temperature. The control utilizes a heating curve to set the relationship between outdoor temperature and supply water temperature to provide optimum control and comfort. The control’s microprocessor is able to continuously adjust the boiler differential to avoid boiler short-cycling and large temperature swings, Standard functions include warm weather shut down, minimum boiler supply temperature setting and a starting water temperature setting. The display clearly shows the boiler supply temperature and other monitored temperatures and settings for simple and effective control.
Outdoor Reset Controls
Outdoor reset controls respond to changes in weather by changing the boiler water temperature circulating throughout your home or business. It sends out cooler water to the system during the warmer outdoor temperatures and warmer water to the building in cooler outdoor temperatures. The outdoor reset control regulates the amount of energy entering the building based on the outdoor temperature by changing the boiler water temperature. The result is a steady indoor temperature throughout the year and significant savings on your fuel bill.
Let DOC help you determine the best control for your family or business needs.
